Basics - use this like a number processor.

This free-form calculator reads the text in the box as if it were doing mental arithmetic.

It uses the same conventions as Excel, + is plus, - is minus, * is multiply, / is divide.
You can use the numeric keypad on your keyboard.

Like Excel, multiplication and division occur first, so you may need to enclose some stuff in brackets.
When Free Form Calculator reads a new line, it adds the number it reads to the number already in its head.
When Free Form Calculator gets an equals (=) sign, it writes the answer out and starts a new sum.
Similarly, if it meets a line starting with a letter, it writes out its answer and reads the new line as text.

Decimal places:
You can select 0 to 6 decimal places in the box. It defaults to 2 decimal places.
Only displayed figures are rounded - the calculations work at full accuracy.

Free Form Calculator will ignore £ and $ currency symbols and commas.
This makes it very useful for pasting in columns of figures from a Word document or from an Access table.
